WIP Update: My Novel(la?)

A new year means new goals and I have a lot for 2019! I’ve always leaned more toward writing short fiction, but I thought that it was time to challenge myself. Let's be honest, that’s the only way a person can grow and I hate the idea of ever becoming stagnant. This past year has been amazing for me because I’ve had all of you supporting me and making me really feel seen in the world of horror literature.

I feel like I have made so many valuable connections and friends, that my writing has really grown in leaps and bounds thanks to all the support I've had. These past few months have been crazy – as I am sure it has been for many of you, my readers. As a result, I’ve not been able to contribute to my blog as much. I am happy to say that during this time, I have still been writing. I began what I thought would be a short story, as mentioned in a previous post, but it ballooned out like crazy!

Currently my WIP sits at over 37K. (It also still lacks a title, which I’ve always been terrible at!) Getting this far showed me that I am, in fact, more than capable of writing a longer piece. I am so excited to finish this and see where it sits. I was aiming for a novella but now I believe this has the potential to be an epic novel.

Most of my time is spent on this WIP, but one 2019 writing goal is to maintain my blog better while still focussing on my main projects. You all support me so much, so I want to supply you with amazing short fiction and articles you can enjoy regularly -- so make sure to keep checking out my blog! I promise you, you won't be disappointed!

Thanks so much everyone!
