Bloodlines Interview Series #1: Carson Winter

Hello dear readers and welcome to the first interviews in my five part series around the upcoming collection, Bloodlines, which is due to release Jan 11th.

This series will include an interview with each of the four authors involved, culminating in my overall review of Bloodlines itself. In these videos, I ask my fellow authors for their inspirations, writing advice, and words of encouragement to other writers so be sure to give these interviews a watch!

Bloodlines

If you’ve ever dreaded a family dinner, felt terror at the blood pumping in your veins; if you’ve ever thought maybe the people you call kin just aren’t quite right—Bloodlines will hold you in its thrall with its literary daring, blood-soaked wit, and taste for carnage. From quiet horror to caterwauling bloodshed, this quadruple feature is fun for the whole family.

Carson Winter

Today, we are interviewing Carson Winter, author of "I Am Not to be Replaced" in Bloodlines. Winter's fiction has previously appeared in Vasterian, Apex, and The NoSleep Podcast. He is a self-described "author, punker, and raw nerve." You can find his website here, or follow him on Twitter.

Also a huge thank you for Carson being patient with me. My mouth naturally wanted to say "Winters", no idea why. I tried to edit it out, you might still be be able to hear it but I promise you that I interviewed Carson WINTER and not his evil twin, Carson WinterS. (Please note his twitter is @CarsonWinter3. Don't ask what happened to CarsonWinter1 or 2.)

A young ghost watches a sinister family gathering complete with a prettier, smarter replica of herself—then, makes sure it’s their last.

So, without further ado, let's watch my interview with author Carson Winter:

And don't forget to check back tomorrow for my next interview.

To P.L. McMillan, every shadow is an entry way to a deeper look into the black heart of the world and every night she rides with the mocking and friendly ghouls on the night-wind, bringing back dark stories to share with those brave enough to read them.
