Monday Evening Update!

“Wow, PLM.” I hear you saying. “You get a fancy new website and just up and stop posting!”

Now, now. I know I haven’t posted in a while, but I’ve spent the last week fixing up the website.

To begin, I definitely enjoy the blogging experience more on Squarespace. One thing I encountered a lot with Wordpress was formatting issues (the text not changing colour when I dictated it to and the random spaces around hyperlinks), add to that the difficulty in truly customizing the Wordpress site (I had to Google a lot of HTML), Squarespace is a lot more intuitive.

However, when I migrated my old posts over, there were some weird formatting. The older posts, which were created with the outdated Wordpress style, were missing every paragraph break. The newer stuff had some odd breaks in places they didn’t belong and I also had to update all the embed links for my movie reviews.

It was an interesting journey going through all my older posts. I saw my voice develop and my style become concrete as I found what I liked.

Definitely a trip down memory lane.

I am nearly done updates and after that, my blogs posts should be back to normal.

I also decided to drop my newsletter. I have a Patreon if you want more personal updates about my projects and life! But I didn’t see the newsletter as being helpful for the amount of work I put into it.

So that’s it for today. Just a little update. I will have a review this Thursday so definitely come back to visit!
